Notes

This unique service provides camp and travel services for ages 5-adult with and without disabilities at the Camp Sunnyside facilities from June through August. Respite programs available on weekends at Camp Sunnyside site in Des Moines and five regional sites.

Located 15 minutes north of downtown Des Moines, it is one of only two camps in Iowa designed, built, and staffed to meet the recreational needs of campers with all types of disabilities. More than 1200 individuals of all ages and all types of disabilities from all 99 counties in the state of Iowa will attend Camp Sunnyside this year.

Easter Seals offers four distinct camping options: residential camp, trip camp, summer day camp and teen day camp.

Camp offerings include swimming in our fully accessible year-round aquatic center, horseback riding, archery, nature trails, talent shows, fishing, arts and crafts, dances, canoeing, and other special activities planned by camp staff.
